Sporting Kansas City’s 10-game road trip to start the 2011 season continues on Saturday with a visit to the Los AngelesGalaxy in an Eastern Conference match-up. The Galaxy (4-2-5) are currently in first place in the Western Conference, having earned a total of 17 points through 11 matches so far this season.
Sporting Kansas City enter Saturday’s match having not played a regular season match since the team’s 1-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls on April 30 at Red Bull Arena. Los Angeles, by contrast, lead the league in games played, most recently drawing 1-1 with the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday from PPL Park.
