She’s set to take her flourishing career across the Atlantic, moving to LA to be a judge on Simon Cowell’s US version of The X Factor.
However it seems that Cheryl Cole’s move might also have a positive impact on her love life.
In recent months the 27-year-old has been repeatedly linked to American dancer Derek Hough (pictured) and her move will perhaps fuel the romance already blossoming between them.
“Cheryl is looking at moving over here, which will be good for Derek,” said the dancer’s stepfather.
“Derek knows what’s been going on. She came over to see him a few weeks ago. I can say that when you love someone you want to be around them and that’s why he likes her,” he adder.
Cheryl will reportedly move to the Californian city once she has sold her Surrey mansion, and filming of the US show will start in spring.
