A prosecutor claims two doctors prescribed massive amounts of drugs to Anna Nicole Smith even though they were warned she was addicted to painkillers.

The claim came Wednesday during opening statements in the Los Angeles trial of Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and Smith’s lawyer-boyfriend, Howard K. Stern.

All three have pleaded not guilty to conspiracy. They are not charged with the former Playboy model’s drug overdose death in 2007.
